fall in love this fall
Fall in love with screen-printing at the Studio School, it is so easy. It is even easier to do, especially now that a 6-yard print table has just been installed right smack dab in center of the studio! This size of table allows for special classes in printing of sheets and sheets of yummy wallpapers & fabric yardages.

"Printed Matters" @ the Comcast Center Concourse
Excitedly the Studio School prepares to stage an exhibition, "Printed Matters", a decorative intervention- of sorts, in the stainless steel concourse of the Comcast Center. Over 100 students have been bitten by the printing bug in this special little educational iniative and we are excited to share the love of printing with poster wallpaper featuring designers from the last 3 + years.

"Sugar Walls", a brand new wallpaper project is hot off the print table, debuting its utter sweetness and celebrating with a collection of fabrics for a fabulous "tableau vivant" installation at the Candy Coated Center. Models arranged in gorgeous piles, some even stapled directly to freshly papered walls, pose swathed in gowns in this elaborate "nature mort". Staged for one evening only.
Vernissage viewing: Saturday, October 15th, 6 - 8pm
"Treasure Hunt" is a citywide treasure hunt of delightful projects. Featured is a tasteful collaboration with chef Tony Aiazzi, of the Workshop Kitchen, called table.wear, highlighting the art of food styling and presentation. Candy's signature imagery on porcelain dinnerware is graced with Tony's skill designing menus and styling culinary delights. Posh local eateries will display tantalizing photos of this delicious teamwork.
